Top feed mechanism is modified to make more space in the left side of needle bar than existing “U” series. That is why we changed the series name from “U” to “S”. Existing VFU and VEU will introduce similar mechanism after release of VGS. In addition to the top feeder, VGS introduces walking presser foot. Combination of these 2 features prevents sideseam with overlock from shifting by poor feeding performance and too much pressure. Furthermore, this machine introduced “Active Thread Control” to make soft stitch: applicable for wider variety of sewing conditions. A perfect package in hemming operation of various “difficult-to-sew” materials is out now. Top and bottom feeder feeds both 2 ply of material directly. Also, walking presser foot helps the feed while minimizing pressure against material. Besides, the machine is also equipped with Yamato “Active Thread Control System (PAT.P)” to obtain wide variety of seam: from epoch-making soft and elastic seam to neatly tightened standard seam. Such features ensure best quality finish. Furthermore, left hand fabric trimmer trims edge of folded material for neat finish, and fine adjustment of trimming position can be made easily.
